Arlington Career Center

Located near Westmont and Arlington Village, Arlington Career Center offers twenty-four Career and Technical Education programs in which students are able to start earning college credits. It is the only high school program in Northern Virginia that allows students to earn a Certificate of General Education.

Arlington Tech is a demanding, project-based learning program in which students apply the learned theory into practice. It allows students to experience and solve real world challenges and problems. Arlington Tech’s Capstone Student Experience begins in the 9th grade and continues to the 12th grade. Students have the option to attain real life work experience by taking part in internships, project consultations, or serving as the principal in a research project.

Wakefield High School

Located near Barcroft and Four Mile Run, Wakefield High School offers Advancement Placement programs including Capstone courses which require every senior student to complete an intensive and independent research project within their area of career interest. In addition, Wakefield High School offers a variety of world languages programs such as the Spanish Immersion Program as well as French, Latin, German, Mandarin, Japanese, and Arabic.

The learning experience at Wakefield High School involves demanding coursework that confidently prepares students for college and encourages critical thinking along with creativity. Their mission statement for every student is to "emerge as confident critical thinkers who embrace challenges, demonstrate resiliency, and are empowered to pursue personal goals and contribute positively to their communities."

Washington-Liberty High School

Near Virginia Square, Washington-Liberty High School offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma courses as well as Advancement Placement courses that earn students credits and advanced standing at colleges and universities. During the first year of enrollment, students take a part in the Freshman Connection, where teachers regularly meet their students in Small Learning Communities and offer learning support.

The learning experience at Washington-Liberty High School empowers students with crucial decision-making skills and nurture students with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the real-life world. Students are able to discover their interests and abilities with the help of comprehensive testing and counseling services. The high school’s mission statement is to "strive to provide a safe and caring learning environment for every student while being responsive to his or her unique needs. "

Yorktown High School

As the name aptly refers, Yorktown High School is located in Yorktown and offers a diverse curriculum where students are encouraged to fulfill their true potential while getting prepared for the college life. At Yorktown High School, students have the opportunity to enroll in Advanced Placement coursework as well as apply for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program where students from across the world come together to become "compassionate and lifelong learners."

At Yorktown High School, "we believe that we are a community of learners engaged in the process of systematically building connections to knowledge, to each other and to the world. We believe in working together to validate knowledge and give meaning to community, citizenship, career, leadership, integrity and civility beyond success in school."
