A Quick Guide to Northern Virginia’s Best Local Breweries
Are you looking for a quick guide to Northern Virginia’s best local breweries? As a professional Real Estate agent, one of my favorite things to do after helping my clients close a deal is take them out for a brew to celebrate! Those that know me know I am pretty fond of craft beer. In fact, I started home brewing as a student at Virginia Tech in the early ‘90s. I wanted to make a Guinness-style stout–(and yes, I still have the hand scribbled recipe). I still brew at home today and like to think I have gotten pretty good at it. All though my life today is very busy with my business, family, CrossFit, travel, and more, I always find time to celebrate happy moments with a delicious hoppy brew (IPAs and wheat ales are my favorite). And lucky for us, one of the great things about living in Northern Virginia is the burgeoning craft beer scene! You do not have to drive very far from the Arlington area to visit some terrific local breweries—and this is not even counting all that Virginia has to offer (i.e. Devils Backbone, Hardywood Park, Starr Hill Brewery…to name a few). But, if you are new to the area or just looking for something new to explore, I recommend checking out our fantastic craft beer scene!
